Not only does Cyder feature in the name of the band, but Slim is a big fan of Real Cider and Perry, the pear equivalent. He hates the fizzy versions most people drink!!!
Reg Meuross used to be a member of the Pickers and Strummers Club at the sadly missed Weavers Arms, along with Slim. Check out his new CD - Short Stories.

Joe Strummer - Another one gone and sorely missed. Joe, along with the rest of the Clash, was hugely responsible for broadening Slim's tastes and knowledge of music. Slim's Texas connections all date back to Joe Ely supporting the Clash at London's Electric Ballroom in 1980.
Come down and meet the folks - A great Sunday afternoon club at The Fiddlers Elbow, 1 Malden Road (Corner of Prince of Wales Road), Kentish Town, London NW5, which we play regularly
The Ugly Model Agency - Slim is signed to Ugly. You can see his card here

The Blockheads - Ian's band - still going strong in their own right
Wilko Johnson - King of the Machine-Gun Guitar - Slim occasionally sits-in with Wilko and the boys
Dr. Feelgood - Canvey Island's finest
Wreckless Eric - Slim served a 6 month apprenticeship in Eric's band in 1981
Sensation Four - Slim's favourite Boy Band - Check out the Video
Dynamos Rhythm Aces - A great band that Slim came across recently from Bristol, who play cool 40s/50s arrangements of contemporary songs - they do a great version of the Spice Girls' Wanna Be.
Big Jim Sullivan - Legendary British Session Guitar Player
Boz Boorer - the godfather of British rockabilly, who we've just been recording with, guitarist extraordinaire, playing with everybody from Morrissey to Sonny George. Check out his own site.
Junior Brown - King of the GuitSteel.
Former members of Austin's, the Bad Livers Danny Barnes and Mark Rubin
A very classy page featuring the art and music of the Texan singer/songwriter ( the man that got us into Country music in the middle of the Punk era) - Joe Ely's Home Page.
Jimmie Dale Gilmore is another great singer and songwriter from Austin Texas..
The guitar players in the band are big fans of the late Danny Gatton. If you are a guitarist (or just appreciate inspired guitar playing) you should check him out too!
Some of our other faves are:
The Forest Hillbillies - A Ska/HillBilly band that Slim used to be in. Included in their web site is their Centre Spread in teenage magazine Jackie.

Rosie Flores - Honky Tonk Queen
